Ligurian |
Ligurian belongs to the Northern Italian group of the Romance languages. It is currently spoken in Liguria (northern Italy), and parts of the Mediterranean coastal zone of France, and Monaco. Genoese is one of the most well-known dialects and is spoken in Genoa. The language is in essence dying out, but is still widely spoken by many elderly people.
