How to use Eatoni Chinese Pinyin/Hanzi entry method

When using the Eatoni Chinese demo, the main points to keep in mind are:

Entry is done using pinyin and you can enter tone marks optionally to increase performance. Use the number keys 1 through 4 for these and the 5 key to indicate no tone mark. The system is forgiving, so even the wrong tonemark will give you the intended Hanzi, but this will require more NextHanzi (see below) keypresses.
The pinyin entry is exactly the same as for Eatoni's LetterWise in general: Press the key you want and if the pinyin letter that appears is not the one you wanted, press the Next key until it appears.
Conversion to hanzi will take place automatically! This will usually happen after you have entered the first character of the next pinyin.
If at any point an incorrect hanzi is displayed, use the Next Hanzi key to advance to the next hanzi. The Next Hanzi key is exactly like the Next key, but it applies to hanzi.
If you are backspacing (CLR), and the cursor encounters a hanzi, the hanzi will be replaced by its pinyin.

Below is a complete example. To follow along, download and run the demo. We will enter the text shown below.

NOTE: that tone marks are OPTIONAL and are useful for the system to mostly predict uncommon pinyin. So, for the below example you can simply enter "gang cai ni..." by pressing "426N4 2H24 64....". You can even put tone marks only in few pinyin and skip the rest.

Keystrokes	Explanation
4 2 6	The g and the a display correctly immediately. But the o was not what we wanted.
N	Hitting the Next key changes the o to the desired n.
4	The final g of gang appears correctly.
1	Use the 1 key to enter the tonemark. At this point, the gang1 pinyin is complete. The pinyin will automatically be converted as we start to enter the following cai2 pinyin. Watch...
2	The gang1 pinyin converts to a hanzi and the first letter of the following pinyin is correctly predicted.
H	As the hanzi displayed is not the desired one, use the Next Hanzi key. The correct hanzi appears.
2 4 2	Continue to enter the rest of the pinyin cai2.
6	The cai2 pinyin converts correctly automatically and n, the first letter of ni3, is correctly predicted.
4 3	Enter the following letter and tonemark in ni3.
8 4 2	Begin entering ti2. The preceeding ni3 converts correctly automatically.
3 2 6 4	Enter dao4. The previous pinyin ti2 converts correctly automatically.
3 3 5	Enter de5. The previous pinyin dao4 converts correctly automatically.
3 N 4 4	Enter di4, hitting Next once on the first letter. The previous pinyin de5 converts correctly automatically.
3 N N	The di4 converts, but not to the desired hanzi. The e of er4 needs two Nexts to appear.
H	use the Next Hanzi key to change the previous hanzi to the desired one.
7 4	Complete the entry of er4.
4 3 4	Enter ge4. The previous pinyin er4 converts correctly automatically.
9 3 6 4	Enter wen4, no next needed, ge4 converts correctly.
8 4 2	Enter ti2. The previous pinyin wen4 converts correctly automatically.
	The message is finished. Hit space or cursor right for the last pinyin to convert.
