Cebuano |
Cebuano belongs to the Austronesian languages. It is spoken in the Philippines, particularly in Cebu, Negros, Bohol, Visayas and parts of Mindanao. The Cebuano language started to appear in writing during the early part of 18th century under influence from Spanish missionaries. As a result of this influence, Cebuano contains many words of Spanish origin.
