Tibetan is classified as a Tibeto-Burman language. The Tibetan language is mainly spoken by the Tibetan people who live across a wide area of eastern Central Asia bordering South Asia, as well as by overseas Tibetan communities all over the world.Tibetan literature is primarily concerned with Buddhist themes and includes works translated from Sanskrit and Chinese and original Tibetan works.
