Hiligaynon

Hiligaynon belongs to the Visayan branch of the Austronesian language family with about 11 million speakers in Western Visayas in the Philippines, 7 million of whom speak is as a native language. An additional 4,000,000 are capable of speaking it with substantial degree of proficiency. Hiligaynon is concentrated in the provinces of Iloilo and Negros Occidental.
